Winter in Molveno

The mountains become covered in glistening snow, and the ground shines with tiny crystals.

The winter season offers countless opportunities for those who love nature and sport.
   
Ski and snowboard enthusiasts will find the Paganella facilities at their disposal with 50km of slopes that will satisfy every type of skier thanks to the variety of slopes it offers: blue slopes, with varying degrees of difficulty to serve beginners, red slopes for ski lovers, and a black slope for the more experienced skiers, Plus, for snowboarders, there’s a large snow park full of great structures.
   
The slopes are easily reachable from Molveno thanks to the free ski bus service which stops in front of the garni Villanova.
   
Other activities include Nordik Walking around the lake, snowshoeing, ice skating and many snow excursions.
   
From the end of Advent to January 6, the magical Christmas market fills up the Piazza della Chiesa with many stalls, full of sweets, local specialties and small local handicrafts.
  
A large torchlit walk is organised on New Years’ Eve, with the cooperation and supervision of Molveno’s fire brigade, and runs along the streets of the town, ending in the church square where all the torches are left burned together as a sign of saluting the year that ends and to welcome the new year together.
